KinHarmony guide
Notice the sequence without assigning a type
Look at a specific exchange before deciding whether something repeats.
Describe what you observed
Write the event, your response, and what you actually observed next. If you do not know the other person’s response, leave that part open. A saved conflict count cannot establish a relationship pattern.
Words to try
“When the topic came up, I repeated my point and you asked for quiet. Is that how you remember it?”
Check, then choose
EFT pays attention to recurring interactions. In KinHarmony, a possible sequence stays a question to check, not a diagnosis. If the conversation is safe, choose one response you could change rather than naming a partner as the problem.
Keep responsibility clear
Threats and coercion are not a shared communication problem. Do not ask someone to accept blame, disclose vulnerable feelings, or repair a dangerous interaction.
